Club Deportivo Guadalajara faces a new controversy after a video was leaked showing Alan Mozo consuming alcohol in a nightclub in Mexico City. The controversy erupted after this recording came to light hours after Chivas' defeat to Puebla at Estadio Cuauhtémoc.
The video, which shows Alan Mozo drinking from a bottle, was filmed between 2 and 3 in the morning at the nightclub Alma in Lomas de Chapultepec. Due to this situation, the defender of Rebaño Sagrado received numerous criticisms from fans. Some condemned his behavior off the field, while others defended that he was on his day off.
Chivas is conducting an internal investigation into this case to determine the authenticity of the video and decide whether any disciplinary action will be taken against Alan Mozo. According to journalist Francisco Arredondo, the club's management seeks to clarify whether the recording is recent or has been circulating among friends for some time.
It is worth noting that this is not the first time Chivas has been involved in a controversy of this type, as recently another player, Roberto Alvarado, launched a firecracker in the Verde Valle press room, which generated outrage in the media. The club's internal regulations indicate that sanctions will only be imposed if players' actions go against the institution.
The uncertainty surrounding the case of Alan Mozo continues as Chivas seeks to clarify the facts and take appropriate measures.
